Meet The Team

Founder
Egla Rubi Ayala
Egla founded RDA during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since been dedicated to coordinating, organizing, and funding all of RDA's initiatives. Alongside her husband, Carlos, and their son, Jahyvin, Egla is the driving force behind RDA's success. Prior to establishing RDA, Egla served as a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and currently acts as the Mexican liaison for Walk the Talk Missions in Minnesota. Known affectionately as "The Mexican Squirrel" by Mark Quaas, Director of Walk the Talk, there is almost nothing Egla cannot do or find. Her deep love for God, children, and her community sustains her through challenging times.

Co-Founder
Carlos Rubi
Carlos co-founded RDA with his wife, Egla, after being awakened at 2 a.m. by a dream she had. He is the chef extraordinaire and assists Egla with all the "little" details needed to prepare for events. On event days, Carlos can usually be found in the kitchen, cooking meals for the kids, taking pictures, or helping out wherever needed. When he is not involved with RDA, Carlos enjoys playing music by the pier or working on projects around the house.

Co-Founder
Jahyvin
Jahyvin actively contributes to the success of RDA by assisting at various events and offering his room as storage for supplies and other essential items. During events, he helps distribute materials and engages with the children, making them feel comfortable and encouraging their participation in games. Outside of school and events, Jahyvin enjoys playing with his friends and spending time with his three dogs.

Tijuana Leaders and Christmas Leaders
Lizbeth and Lucy
Lizbeth, Egla’s sister-in-law and best friend for over 15 years, is a vital member of RDA. Residing in Tijuana with her husband, Egla's brother, she leads events in Tijuana and serves as the ceremonial leader for Christmas events in Ensenada. As one of the founding members of RDA, Lizbeth’s passion and dedication have been instrumental in the organization's growth. Throughout both challenging and successful times, she has provided unwavering encouragement and support to Egla, playing a key role in RDA's continued success.

Graphic Designer
Elisa Rachel
Elisa, is the niece of Carlos and Egla, designed the RDA logo and assists with a variety of graphic design needs for RDA materials. The designs you see on the T-shirts, website, and stickers are all made possible by her talent and creativity. She also volunteers at numerous events, providing assistance wherever it is needed most. Currently, Elisa is a high school student with plans to pursue a career in law and become a lawyer.

Team members
Evelyn and Rodolfo
Evelyn, Carlos's sister, and her husband, Rodolfo, are dedicated to supporting RDA in any way they can. Evelyn serves as the official photographer for RDA events. Her passion for people and talent for capturing meaningful moments help preserve the memories and impact of each event.
Rodolfo is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Whether helping with setup, assisting behind the scenes, or playing games with the children, he brings enthusiasm and a servant’s heart to every event.

Team member
Jorge and Evelyn
Jorge and Evelyn, Carlos's parents, enjoy serving alongside their family and bringing joy to the children at RDA events.
Evelyn is often the first friendly face families see when they arrive. She welcomes children and their families, assists with registration, and helps ensure everyone is checked in and ready for the event.
Jorge shares the Gospel message at events, communicating not only the Good News of Jesus Christ but also his deep love and passion for the Lord. Always willing to help wherever needed, he also serves as a guide for the team, helping keep activities organized and running on schedule.

Team members
Pedro, Yadira, Lluvia and Roman
This family truly embodies their love of God. Pedro and Yadira, along with their kids, support RDA as a family. They arrive early to help set up for events and stay late to assist with cleanup. By serving together, not only do Pedro and Yadira share the love of God with their neighbors, they demonstrate God's love to their own kids and train them up in the way they should go. They are also called to serve God in their own community, acting as the community coordinator for school supplies and Christmas events.
