How you can be a part of our events

Prayer is the most important way you can support these events! We believe that prayer lays the foundation for every successful event. Here are a few specific prayer requests:

That we would raise all the funds needed to make each event a success
That we would truly be the hands and feet of Jesus, and that those attending would see God in us
That those who don’t yet know Him would have the courage to seek God and desire a deeper relationship with Him
For the health, strength, and safety of all our volunteers

Impact and Goals for the 2025 Christmas Season

Every year, our reach grows—and so do the needs. What began with just a handful of children has grown into a beautiful tradition of hope and joy. This Christmas, we have over 500 children on our list, each one excited to celebrate and experience the love of Jesus through our Christmas events.

Each gathering welcomes 20–50 children and their families, and we host around 15 events throughout the season. Many of these children would not otherwise receive a Christmas gift. Some lack even the basics—warm clothing, shoes that fit, or a small toy to call their own.

To make this possible, we’ve set a fundraising goal of $10,000 to provide Christmas gifts, Bibles, and food for the families we serve. That’s only about $20 per child—a small amount that can make a big difference in a child’s heart this Christmas.

We also hope to extend the joy of giving by sharing grocery staples like beans, rice, and oil with elderly members of the community who are often overlooked during the holidays. Any extra funds raised will go toward providing these much-needed items.

Why Christmas gifts

We launched our Christmas Celebration Events in 2023 to bring joy, hope, and the true message of Christmas to children and families in our community. While gift-giving is not the central focus of Christmas, we believe that every child deserves to experience the joy of receiving a present and knowing they are loved. These gifts serve as a reminder of the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ.

This year, we hope to bless 500 children through our Christmas events. Each gathering, held from November through January, welcomes 20–50 children along with their families and neighbors. Together, we enjoy games, hot meals, music, and the sharing of the Christmas story. At the end of each event, children receive small gifts—like soccer balls, dolls, Matchbox cars, nail polish, or water bottles—each one chosen with care to bring smiles and warmth to young hearts.

While our focus is on providing gifts for children ages 0–16, the entire community is invited to join the celebration. These gatherings are about more than presents—they are about building community and sharing God’s love with everyone who attends.

Reflejo De Amor’s mission remains the same year-round: to reflect God’s love through acts of kindness that meet practical needs and open hearts to the message of Christ. Whether through Christmas gifts or school supplies, our hope is to remind every person that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.
